Denis Linsmayer scored the only goal of the game nine minutes from time as SV Sandhausen edged past FSV Frankfurt on Matchday 12.

FSV Frankfurt 0-1 Sandhausen

The visitors created the best opportunity of the opening 45 minutes at the Frankfurter Volksbank Stadion, only for SVS’s top scorer Andrew Wooten to miss the target from inside the penalty area. The hosts upped the tempo after the restart and almost went in front when Zlatko Dedic rattled the crossbar from distance, but Linsmayer’s late strike - which took a wicked deflection off Joan Oumari on its way in - consigned the hosts to a narrow defeat and lifted Sandhausen into to fourth ahead of the weekend’s remaining fixtures.
