RB Leipzig moved top of the Bundesliga 2 standings for the first time in the current campaign following a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over SV Sandhausen on Saturday.

Sandhausen 1-2 Leipzig

A well-executed counter and Aziz Bouhaddouz’s smart finish on the turn handed the hosts the lead shortly before the half-hour mark. It lasted all of four minutes, however, before Dominik Kaiser converted from a spot kick in to restore parity. Leipzig thought they had the lead on 64 minutes only for Kaiser’s stunner to be ruled out for offside, but there was nothing the hosts could do to prevent Marcel Halstenberg tapping home the winner fifteen minutes from time.
