Kaiserslautern - 1. FC Kaiserslautern have confirmed Konrad Fünfstück as head coach on a permanent basis, a month after he was appointed in an interim role.

After turning around the side's fortunes in his short time at the helm, the Red Devils have handed Fünfstück a contract until June 2017. Until last month, the 35-year-old was in charge of the club's U-23 side but was parachuted into the head coach's job after the departure of Kosta Runjaic on 23 September.

Fünfstück has since presided over impressive victories against VfL Bochum 1848 and Fortuna Düsseldorf 95, although his side went down 1-0 to SV Sandhausen on Matchday 10. This weekend, Lautern travel to regional rivals Karlsruher SC.
