Hamburg - FC St. Pauli fought to a well-earned victory over Bundesliga 2 leaders SC Freiburg for their first win in four games.
The first half saw Freiburg fail to control the game as they might have expected to. It took the visitors 33 minutes to create their first chance of the game, a shot from Amir Abrashi which flew high over the bar.
St. Pauli, on the other hand, were organised defensively and looking dangerous on the counter attack. In the second half, they began to take control of the game, and could have gone ahead from any of three quickfire chances around the 70 minute mark.
Only in injury time did the Hamburg outfit finally break through, though. Lennart Thy's volley was parried, only for Marc Rzatkowski to poke in the rebound.
