Heidenheim - Marc Schnatterer continued his fine goalscoring form to secure 1. FC Heidenheim 1846 a 1-1 draw against 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

Kaiserslautern settled into their rhythm quickly, carving out several clear-cut chances with their quick passing game. Kevin Stöger looked particularly sharp at the Voith-Arena, and the Austrian Under-21 midfielder, as well as Srdjan Lakic, should have given the Red Devils the lead when he had only goalkeeper Jan Zimmermann to beat.

Heidenheim improved after the break and Mathias Wittek came close with a header following a corner, but it was the visitors that broke the deadlock at the other end thanks to a fine finish from substitute Amin Younes. The home side's response was immediate, however, Schnatterer levelling just two minutes later with a stunning curling effort from the edge of the box to ensure the spoils were shared.
