Heidenheim - 1. FC Heidenheim continued their impressive home form this term by thrashing VfL Bochum 5-0.

The hosts were rampant right from the off and raced to a 4-0 lead by half-time. Patrick Mayer broke the deadlock with just nine minutes on the clock, before attacking midfielder Marc Schnatterer struck twice in quick succession to put them out of sight. Florian Niederlechner grabbed another just before the break and Robert Leipertz capped off a comfortable victory with a late fifth.

The result took the hosts above their guests in the standings, simultaneously ending Bochum's unbeaten start to the campaign.
