Frankfurt - FC St. Pauli denied FSV Frankfurt 1899 their second win of the season on Matchday 8, with Dennis Daube grabbing a late equaliser in an action-packed 3-3 draw.

Two goals in three minutes before half-time gave the Hamburg club what seemed like a comfortable advantage, but bottom-placed Frankfurt refused to lie down. Christopher Nöthe swept in the first from the penalty spot before Marc Rzatskowski added the second from Daube's assist. Crucially, though, Frankfurt reduced the arrears just before the break with Joni Kauko's left-foot shot from the edge of the area creeping in off the post.

The hosts then turned the game on its head with two quick-fire goals of their own, the first an own goal from Philipp Ziereis before Vincenzo Grifo put Frankfurt ahead. At that moment in time, Benno Möhlmann's men were out of the bottom two, but they were sent back in by Daube in the 88th minute, the midielder snatching a point for Pauli.
