Düsseldorf - Fortuna Düsseldorf extended their unbeaten run to five Bundesliga 2 matches after coming back twice to rescue a 2-2 draw at home to RB Leipzig.

Although the hosts did most of the early running, it was Austrian defender Georg Teigl who gave an efficient Leipzig the lead, tucking in Matthias Morys' cross in the 18th minute. Fortuna came back strongly, although strength was what Ben Halloran's volley lacked to test Benjamin Bellot just after the interval.

Their persistence paid off when substitute Joel Pohjanpalo levelled just two minutes after coming on, but their joy was short-lived with Teigl restoring Leipzig's lead. The last word was reserved for Charlison Benschop, however, who snatched an 86th-minute equaliser as the hosts refused to lie down, denying promoted Leipzig the chance to move top of the standings.
