Sandhausen - For a third consecutive encounter, American striker Andrew Wooten struck the only goal of the game as ten-men SV Sandhausen snatched a 1-0 win over struggling 1860 Munich on Tuesday evening.

Despite coming into the clash on the back of victories over Greuther Fürth and VfR Aalen, the hosts struggled to settle into proceedings and found themselves on the back foot for much of the first half with Yannick Stark spurning the most promising opportunity to break the deadlock for the Lions.

Sandhausen improved after the restart only to see Lukas Kübler pick up a second bookable offence in the 72nd minute, robbing them of their impetus. Fortunately, with 1860 unable to capitalise on their dominance and Rubin Okotie’s late header ruled out for offside, Wooten was on hand to snatch a dramatic winner for the hosts with virtually the last kick of the game.
