Berlin - 1. FC Union Berlin became the first team to beat RB Leipzig this season with a 2-1 triumph at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei.

After a first half low on chances, Union took the lead in the 70th minute when Polter rose to meet Benjamin Köhler’s free-kick. That stung the visitors, who levelled soon after through Yussuf Poulsen’s lob after a mistake in the home defence, but the final word fell to Polter, who provided a cool finish in a one-on-one to earn Union their first win of the campaign and Norbert Düwel’s first as the Berliners’ head coach.
