Sandhausen - Bundesliga 2 strugglers SV Sandhausen stunned promotion hopefuls Greuther Fürth with a 1-0 victory at home on Sunday, collecting their first three points of the 2014/15 campaign.

The match began brightly at the Hartwaldstadion, although goalscoring opportunities were few and far between in an encounter played out predominantly in a congested midfield, with niggly fouls disrupting the flow of the game.

The match continued in a similar vein after the break, with Fürth unable to impose their superior technique on a feisty home side. In the end Sandhausen were able to snatch an unlikely win towards the end of the match when a defensive mix-up allowed an unmarked Andrew Wooten to slot home late on. Sandhausen move on to four points, while Fürth remain a long way off the top in mid-table following their second loss of the season.
