Darmstadt - SV Darmstadt 98 extended their unbeaten league run to five matches thanks to a comfortable 2-0 win at home to rock-bottom FC Erzgebirge Aue.

Aue goalkeeper Martin Männel was called into action to keep out team-mate Thomas Paulus' misdirected header with the game just a minute old. Darmstadt were controlling the game and creating the better chances, but it wasn't until late in the first half that Marcel Heller raced away to net the opening goal. Rico Benatelli spurned the visitors' best chance to level, before Dominik Stroh-Engel grabbed his fifth goal in as many games, bumping promoted Darmstadt up to second in the standings in the process.
