Frankfurt - RasenBallsport Leipzig defended their place at the top of Bundesliga 2 by maintaining their unbeaten start to the season with a 0-0 draw at FSV Frankfurt.

It was a keenly-fought, no-holds-barred contest in Frankfurt with neither side giving an inch, and fouls were consequently common place. Two yellow cards went to Clemens Fandrich, who got a one-minute head-start on his team-mates for a half-time shower when he was dismissed sixty seconds before the interval.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Leipzig played the ball around with the confidence of a side with eleven men in the second half. They were using plenty of energy, though, and their efforts soon took their toll as Frankfurt gained ground late on. The hosts wasted the best chance of the game in the last minute, with Alexander Huber heading against the post, before the visitors managed to clear the ball to safety to earn a point.
