Bochum - VfL Bochum 1848 continued their unbeaten start to 2014/15 after coming from a goal down to secure a 1-1 draw at home to 1. FC Union Berlin on Monday night.

Bochum duo Jan Simunek and Yusuke Tasaka both passed up presentable scoring opportunities in a frenetic first half in which Union could quite easily have taken the lead themselves. Berlin's Björn Jopek forced a fantastic save from Andreas Luthe, with Daniel Haas covering himself in glory at the other end to deny Simon Terodde. Sören Brandy found a way through early in the second half to put the visitors in the driving seat, only for Terodde to hit back 19 minutes later to leave his former club still searching for their first win of the season.
