Aue - VfL Bochum produced a ruthless display to run out 5-1 winners away at FC Erzgebirge Aue on Matchday 2 of the new Bundesliga 2 season.

Peter Neururer’s men had lost on their last four visits to the Saxon club, but they started the brighter of the two sides and Stanislav Sestak put them in front. The Violets hit back through a Solomon Okoronkwo header, but another Sestak effort and a classy free-kick from Japanese midfielder Yusuke Tasaka had the visitors in control at the interval. Both sides created chances in the second period, but a close-range double from Simon Terodde wrapped up a handsome win for Bochum.
