Dresden - SG Dynamo Dresden have relieved Olaf Janßen of his duties as head coach following the club's relegation from Bundesliga 2 at the end of the 2013/14 campaign.

“We analysed our situation following the [Matchday 34] defeat to Arminia Bielefeld,” said sporting director Ralf Minge. “We came to the conclusion that bringing in a new head coach will send an important signal to the new team and the club as a whole.”

Janßen, who said his goodbyes to the squad on Tuesday morning, took charge of the club on 4 September 2013 and recorded five wins, 14 draws and nine defeats in his 28 games in charge.
