Cologne - 1. FC Köln underlined in their final home game of the season that they are in a league of their own in Bundesliga 2 this season, beating FC St. Pauli 4-0 at the Rheinenergiestadion.

Anthony Ujah gave the Billy Goats the lead in the 14th minute, threading a fine pass from Kazuki Nagasawa through Philipp Tschauner's legs. Marcel Risse's shot was then deflected into his own goal by Jan Kalla to double the hosts' advantage on the half-hour mark before Patrick Helmes provided the finish to a fine counterattack to make it three just before the interval.

Substitute Sascha Bigalke put the icing on the cake after the break to all but seal three points for the league leaders shortly after the break with a fine volley from just outside the area direct from a corner to make it four.

Deutsche Fußball Liga vice-president Harald Strutz and CEO Andreas Rettig then presented the champions with the Bundesliga 2 trophy, officially welcoming them back into Germany's top flight next season.
