Dresden - SG Dynamo Dresden closed the gap on 15th-placed FSV Frankfurt to three points with a deserved 4-2 victory over TSV 1860 Munich.

In a pulsating first half, Tobias Kempe gave Dresden an early lead with a sublime free-kick, and Idir Ouali doubled the hosts' advantage after just ten minutes with another spectacular effort into the top corner. Robert Koch made it 3-0 when he capitalised on a mistake by 1860 keeper Gabor Kiraly, before an Anthony Losilla own goal gave the visitors a lifeline. However, Koch soon grabbed his second of the evening to put Dresden 4-1 up at half-time.

Both sides spurned promising opportunities after the restart, but despite Daniel Adlung's late consolation in the 89th minute it was a comprehensive defeat for the Munich club, who have now suffered three consecutive losses in the league. Dresden, meanwhile, remain in the relegation play-off place, but are now just three points off safety.
