Frankfurt - SV Sandhausen secured their Bundesliga 2 status for the 2014/15 season after comfortably beating FSV Frankfurt 3-0.

Both sides knew they could take a decisive step away from the bottom three going into the encounter at the Volksbank Stadion and the visitors were determined to keep things tight at the back initially, showing why they have conceded fewer goals than any team bar leaders 1. FC Köln this term as they kept the hosts at arm's length. Sandhausen broke the deadlock when a wonderful Timo Achenbach pass in the 27th minute outfoxed the Frankfurt defence, allowing Ranisav Jovanovic to put them 1-0 up. Nicky Adler doubled their advantage just before the break, before Jovanovic's second in the 66th minute ended the game as a contest, leaving FSV down in 15th place, hovering nervously above the relegation play-off spot just one rung below.
