Aue - FC Erzgebirge Aue came from behind to beat 1. FC Union Berlin 3-2 in a Matchday 29 encounter that produced three penalties.

It was the Berliners that opened the scoring in Saxony, Torsten Mattuschka scoring his 14th spot-kick in a row after Aue keeper Martin Männel had been adjudged to have fouled Roberto Puncec. The hosts turned things around minutes later, though, as a penalty from Jakub Sylvestr after a foul on Frank Löning and a header from Tobias Nickenig put them 2-1 in front before the interval. Union fought back, however, and levelled an extremely open game through Steven Skrzybski, before a third penalty, converted by Sylvestr following Daniel Haas' clumsy challenge on Solomon Okoronkwo, sealed a dramatic win.
