Cologne - 1. FC Köln moved nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga 2 table after a comfortable 2-0 home win over DSC Arminia Bielefeld.

Promotion to the top-flight looking is looking increasingly likely with each passing week, and Cologne began the game in confident fashion. After Kazuki Nagasawa went close in the opening minutes, Daniel Halfar put the hosts in front with a well-taken half-volley. Halfar and Jonas Hector were then denied by heroic saves from Bielefeld's Stefan Ortega, but Anthony Ujah’s second-half tap-in made the points safe. The Billy Goats’ lead at the top can be cut to six points if Greuther Fürth beat FC Ingolstadt 04 on Monday, while Arminia remain 17th after a fifth game without a victory.
