Paderborn - SC Paderborn kept pace with 1. FC Köln and SpVgg Greuther Fürth at the top of Bundesliga 2 after they beat fourth-placed FC St. Pauli 3-0 to strengthen their promotion push.

Mahir Saglik’s close-range finish just before the interval gave the hosts the lead, and Paderborn doubled their advantage after 58 minutes when Alban Meha played a neat one-two with Elias Kachunga on the edge of the area before curling a shot into the top corner. Mario Vrancic was then brought down by Florian Kringe, allowing Saglik to step up and fire the resulting penalty past Philipp Tschauner and complete a comfortable win for the hosts, who move four points clear of St. Pauli.
