Kaiserslautern - 1. FC Kaiserslautern put an end to their three-game losing streak with a 2-1 victory at home to SV Sandhausen on Friday evening.

The home fans were left fearing the worst early on when Danny Blum's breakway goal put the visitors ahead and Sandhausen managed to keep Lautern at bay until deep in the second half. However, their resistance was eventually broken by Bundesliga 2 top scorer Simon Zoller - making his first league appearance of the year after returning from injury. Shortly afterwards, Sandhausen defender Daniel Schulz deflected Florian Dick's cross into his own net to give Kaiserslautern all three points and renew their promotion hopes.
