Aue - Table-toppers 1. FC Köln produced a stunning late comeback on Matchday 23, coming from two goals down to clinch a 2-2 draw against Erzgebirge Aue.

Demonstrating no fear in hosting the league leaders, Aue enjoyed the much strong start and were rewarded for their courage with an early opener when Jakub Sylvester slid in to tap home Guido Kocer’s drilled cross. The visitors grew into the game as the half wore on, but couldn’t produce an equaliser with Martin Männel producing a superb reflex save to prevent Dominic Maroh’s goalbound header crossing the line.

Köln head coach Peter Stöger made two changes at the break with Anthony Ujah and Thomas Bröcker entering the fray, a decision which saw the Billy Goats establish a greater control on proceedings. Yet one counter attack was all it took for Aue to extend their lead when Sylvester was brought down inside the area allowing Frank Löning to convert the ensuing spot-kick. However, two stunning strikes from range in the final ten minutes from Daniel Halfar spared Köln's blushes, leaving Aue just seven points off the automatic relegation spots.
