Berlin - 1. FC Union Berlin picked up their first win of 2014 thanks to Torsten Mattuschka, who scored one and set up the other in a 2-0 win over FSV Frankfurt.

It took Berlin 39 minutes of a dominant first-half performance finally to break the deadlock with Mattuschka converting from the penalty spot after Björn Schlicke had fouled Simon Terodde. FSV hinted at a recovery early in the second half but those hopes were put to bed by Fabian Schönheim 15 minutes from time when he exchanged passes with Mattuschka before skipping past Marc-Andre Kruska and slotting home to seal the points.
