Hamburg - VfL Bochum came away from the Millerntor Stadion with all three points after a 1-0 win at FC St.Pauli.

Holmar Örn Eyjolfsson's early goal from a corner was just reward for the visitors' enterprising start in Hamburg, and Peter Neururer's men consolidated their lead with a brave rearguard action. The hosts were patient in possession, but the closest they came in the first half was a Marcel Halstenberg free-kick that flew wide. The frustration continued after the break, and it was Bochum that might have added to their lead, with Richard Sukuta-Pasu going close. Eyjolfsson's goal was enough for the Ruhr outfit, however, who gain valuable ground in their fight against the drop, while Pauli drop off the pace in the race for promotion.
