Berlin - There was no separating 1. FC Union Berlin and SG Dynamo Dresden on Matchday 20 as neither side managed to find a breakthrough in an intense 0-0 draw.

It was the relegation battlers who got off to the better start with Mickael Pote blazing over the bar with a golden opportunity from five yards inside ten minutes. However, as the first half wore on, the capital city side began finding their stride with Adam Nemec and Martin Dausch at the heart of their most promising moments.

Goalless at the break, Dresden were again the side to enjoy a brighter start to the half, yet the failed to reward themselves with Zlatko Dedic collecting Idir Ouali's cross, only to fire straight at Daniel Haas. Berlin's goalkeeper had to be on hand again moments later, first palming Thorsten Schulz's effort away from danger, before throwing out a hand to tip Vincenzo Grifo's effort onto the post. In the end though, with Berlin mustering up few clear-cut chances, it was a disappointed Dresden who picked up an invaluable point.
