Ingolstadt - 1. FC Kaiserslautern had the honour of winning Bundesliga 2’s final game of 2013 after edging out a 2-1 victory at FC Ingolstadt.

The Red Devils had gone into the game on the back of three straight defeats, and that run looked set to continue when Moritz Hartmann put Ingolstadt in front from Brazilian forward Caiuby’s cross. Kosta Runjaic’s men responded well, however, and were level before the break when captain Marc Torrejon bundled home an equaliser. Both sides had chances in the second period but it was Lautern that made theirs count when Simon Zoller fired in from Mohamadou Idrissou’s flick on. The visitors now go into the winter break third in the table, while Ingolstadt stay 14th.
