Bielefeld - Second-placed Greuther Fürth suffered a surprise 4-1 defeat away to DSC Arminia Bielefeld on Matchday 18.

Fürth had won four of their previous five outings and came close to taking the lead only 90 seconds into the Schüco-Arena encounter when Robert Zillner missed the target with only Patrick Platins to beat. The visitors were caught cold after 25 minutes, however, Patrick Schönfeld slotting Bielefeld in front. Stefan Fürstner's strike levelled matters a little later, but Fürth struggled to impose themselves on the game following the equaliser.

Marc Lorenz volleyed in Marcel Appiah's pinpoint cross shortly after the break to put Arminia back in front, before Tim Jerat's header and substitute Johannes Rahn's strike sealed an unexpected three points for the Westphalian's, who move up to 13th in the table.
