Cologne - 1. FC Köln bounced back to winning ways on home soil thanks to a 2-0 success against an insipid FSV Frankfurt outfit.

The visitors were looking to capitalise upon Köln's surprise defeat to FC Ingolstadt 04 last time out, and came close early on through Michael Görlitz. Köln, however, had early chances of their own through Patrick Helmes and Yannick Gerhardt. The hosts came out stronger after the break and soon opened the scoring through Anthony Ujah's cool finish to a good team move. Boosted by the lead, Köln remained in the driving seat, Marcel Risse ensuring five minutes from time Köln remain top of the Bundesliga 2.
