Aue – FC St. Pauli made it three wins out of three under new coach Roland Vrabeca after a 2-0 success at FC Erzgebirge Aue on Friday evening.

Goals from after eight minutes and Michael Gregoritsch on 25 put the visitors firmly in the driving seat by midway through the first half and despite rallying after the restart, Aue never managed to get a foothold back in the contest after that. The result lifts St. Pauli into fourth place, level on points with Kaiserslautern directly above them ahead of the main weekend programme. Aue, on 20 points, are slipping in the other direction, now hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone.
