Frankfurt - DSC Arminia Bielefeld recorded their first win in eight Bundesliga 2 games as Philipp Riese's strike secured a 2-1 victory at FSV Frankfurt.

The visitors, who had lost their previous seven league matches and went into the game in 17th place in the table, fell behind inside eleven minutes when Markus Ziereis headed home his first goal of the season. Stefan Krämer's team equalised just six minutes later, however, courtesy of Marc Lorenz's swerving strike from the edge of the penalty area.

Five minutes before the break, Patrick Schönfeld's long through-ball found Philipp Riese, who calmly slid the ball past Patric Klandt in the Frankfurt goal to give Bielefeld the lead. Riese could have doubled his tally for the evening five minutes from time, but the 24-year-old screwed his left-footed shot wide. His miss didn't prove too costly, however, as Bielefeld held on for a precious win that deepens Frankfurt's relegation fears.
