Bielefeld - VfL Bochum 1848 registered back-to-back wins for only the second time this season as they collected a 2-0 win on the road against DSC Arminia Bielefeld.

The hosts were looking to put an end to a run of six-straight defeats, but having controlled to opening exchanges found themselves behind in the encounter when Ken Ilsö met Florian Jungwirth’s cross with a diving header that squirmed under Patrick Plantins. Bielefeld's were making life difficult for Bochum, while the frontline struggled to find the net despite creating a whole host of chances in the first half. It was a similar story after the break as the league's leakiest defence was again made to pay for their inattentiveness. Yusuke Tasaka fired home on the volley against the run of play shortly before the hour mark and, though Arminia attempted to battle their way back into the game, Stephan Salger's late sending off allowed Bochum to hold firm and remain unbeaten for a third consecutive weekend.
