Ingolstadt - FC Ingolstadt 04 stretched their unbeaten run in the Bundesliga 2 to three games after a comfortable 2-0 win at home to VfR Aalen.

Sitting bottom of the league before the day’s play didn’t seem to bother the hosts, as they dominated the opening stages and deservedly went in front, when Brazilian forward Caiuby fired in a low drive from 25 yards. Aalen were still well in the game at 1-0, but the deficit was doubled after the break when Christian Eigler’s shot took a wicked deflection and flew into the near corner. The hosts might have added to their lead had Moritz Hartmann’s first touch not let him down, but 2-0 was a welcome win and their fourth of the season.
