Cologne - 1. FC Köln opened up a three-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga 2 standings, courtesy of a crushing 4-0 win over second-place FC Union Berlin.

Latching onto a lofted pass from Matthias Lehmann, Marcel Risse set the Billy Goats on the road to victory in the 22nd minute. The 23-year-old was celebrating his second before half time, rounding off a blistering counter with an unstoppable drive into the bottom corner of the Union goal, before Yannick Gerhardt and Jonas Hector got in on the scoring act after the restart to send the East Berliners back to the capital nursing their heaviest defeat of the campaign.
