Bochum - A tense game in the Rewirpowerstadion between VfL Bochum and 1. FC Kaisersalutern ended 0-0, but wasn't without its chances.

A Bochum side reeling from three losses in succession burst out of the blocks with striker Richard Sukuta-Pasu spurning two good first-half chances. Kaiserslautern took the initiative in the second period, Marcel Gaus and Mohamadou Idrissou both being denied by Andreas Luthe in the Bochum goal. Lautern were always the side most likely to take the points, as Markus Karl struck the post with ten minutes remaining, but Bochum's defensive fortitude won them a vital point.

The point lifts the hosts to 16th, while Kaiserslautern climb to fourth.
