Karlsruhe - Karlsruher SC survived a late TSV 1860 Munich onslaught to move above their opponents in the Bundesliga 2 standings thanks to a 2-1 win.

Selcuk Alibaz and a Guillermo Vallori own goal gave the hosts a two-goal lead, but Moritz Stoppelkamp made it interesting when he pulled a goal back with five minutes remaining. 1860 started and finished the game brightly, and will ultimately wonder how they managed to come away without a win. Stoppelkamp’s deflected effort nearly put Friedhelm Funkel’s men in front before Alibaz punished the first moment of indecision in the Lions’ rearguard.

The efficient hosts made it two with their second chance of the game, leaving their visitors a mountain to climb. They nearly did it with Stoppelkamp driving in what proved to be a consolation as a late siege failed to deliver a point.
