Düsseldorf - Four goals by Mahir Saglik helped SC Paderborn to a 6-1 win at Fortuna Düsseldorf - their biggest ever win in Bundesliga 2.

Boosted by recent wins over FC Ingolstadt and SpVgg Greuther Fürth, Düsseldorf started confidently, pinning visiting Paderborn back in the opening stages. The hosts struggled to make the most of their early pressure, however, and were caught cold after 28 minutes when Saglik did extremely well to bend the ball into the far top-left corner. Martin Latka levelled matters for the hosts, heading Axel Bellinghausen's pin-point free-kick into the back of the net, but Saglik restored Paderborn's lead just before half-time.

Düsseldorf threw bodies forward after the break, but that left last season's Bundesliga strugglers extremely vulnerable at the back. Saglik took full advantage, adding two more goals in the 63rd and 70th minute to lift his tally to nine goals in only ten appearances this season. Late goals by substitute Elias Kachunga and an own-goal by Latka rounded off an afternoon to forget for Fortuna, who slip to ninth in the Bundesliga 2 table.
