Fürth - Moritz Hartmann's first-half strike handed cellar-dwellers FC Ingolstadt a deserved three points at SpVgg Greuther Fürth.

Hoping to bounce back from their recent two defeats against FC St. Pauli and Fortuna Düsseldorf, Fürth set the tone in the early stages, but the hosts were caught cold after ten minutes when Hartmann fired home from close range. It was a timely boost for the visitors, who became stronger as the game progressed, with right-back Danny da Costa and midfielder Pascal Groß at the heart of most of Ingolstadt's creativity.

The visitors picked up where they left off after the break, carving out numerous scoring chances, but they were reduced to ten men when Almog Cohen was given his marching orders late on. Ingolstadt held on, however, to record a priceless victory which temporarily lifts them off the foot of the Bundesliga 2 table.
