Bielefeld - 1. FC Kaiserslautern maintained their unbeaten run under new head coach Kosta Runjaic as they collected a second consecutive 3-0 win, this time on the road against Arminia Bielefeld.

A powerful first-half performance muscled visitors Kaiserslautern into an early lead. Olivier Occean opened the scoring with a header after nine minutes, moments after Mohamadou Idrissou had hit the post. The same duo combined again for a deserved second goal, Occean's back-heel setting up the move which led to Idrissou tapping in from close-range.

Bielefeld toiled in the second half as they attempted to get themselves back into the game. However, a clumsy challenge from goalkeeper Patrick Platins brought an end to any hope of a comeback, as he brought down Karim Matmour inside the area, allowing Idrissou to round out the scoring by bagging his brace, sending Lautern into fourth place.
