Dresden - SG Dynamo Dresden were denied their first win of the season at the last, as SC Paderborn 07 rescued a point in an exciting 2-2 draw.

The home side had the best of a tight first half and midfielder Robert Koch struck the post after 21 minutes. Frenchman Idir Ouali then squandered two chances in quick succession, hitting one straight at Paderborn 'keeper Daniel Lück, and placing the other wide.

Paderborn opened the scoring straight after the break through 21-year-old forward Johannes Wurtz, but Dresden, in front of 22,000 home fans went on the search for their first win of the season. They looked to have secured it after substitute Mohamed Amine Aoudia and Zlatko Dedic scored within five minutes of each other to give them a 2-1 lead. Drama was to follow, as a tumbling Mahir Saglik volleyed home from a corner in the 84th minute to deny Dresden the win they so craved.

The point means Dresden move up a place to 17th, while Paderborn climb to 13th.
