Bielefeld - Tim Jerat scored twice as DSC Arminia Bielefeld recorded a narrow 2-1 win over SV Sandhausen on Matchday 8 of Bundesliga 2.

Sebastian Hille almost put Bielefeld ahead inside ten minutes after latching onto Patrick Schönfeld's through ball, but the winger's shot rolled just past the post. Jerat opened the scoring five minutes after half-time when he beat two Sandhausen defenders to nod the ball home from close range.

The 31-year-old then doubled his tally for the afternoon half way through the second period with a well-executed volley from outside the area.A Johannes Rahn own goal 13 minutes from time gave Sandhausen hope, but Bielefeld held on to climb to third in the Bundesliga 2 table.
