Cottbus - Goals by Patrick Helmes, Anthony Ujah and Slawomir Peszko helped 1. FC Köln to a comprehensive 4-0 victory at FC Energie Cottbus on Matchday 7.

Following on from their impressive performance in the previous 4-1 success at home to Erzgebirge Aue, Köln made it abundantly clear early on they were there to take all three points home. Helmes looked particularly keen on his Köln comeback, having re-signed only a fortnight ago for the club he had left five years earlier, and opened the scoring less than two minutes into the game. The former Germany international then did well in setting up Ujah's first goal of the night moments later.

Three points seemed pretty much wrapped up when the Nigerian forward added another one just before the half-hour mark, but the visitors' kept up the pressure after the break, Peszko even making it four 22 minutes from time.
