Duisburg - FC St. Pauli failed to take a significant step in their fight against the drop as the Hamburg-based club were held to a goalless draw at MSV Duisburg.

In the clash of two former Bundesliga sides, St. Pauli looked by far the more threatening side in an entertaining first half, but they were let down by ppor finishing. Their top goalscorer should have capitalised from his numerous scoring chances but couldn't add to add to his tally of 15 goals in the current campaign. Clear-cut chances proved harder to come by after the break, with MSV's Slovenia international Goran Sukalo heading over and Ginczek missing the target again from close range.
