Regensburg – Bottom club SSV Jahn Regensburg fell to yet another defeat as they were narrowly beaten 2-1 by derby rivals FC Ingolstadt.

The away side started the stronger and it was no surprise that they struck the first blow, with Ümit Korkmaz heading in the rebound following Brazilian Caiuby’s initial effort. Franciszek Smuda’s team rallied themselves on a rain-soaked surface and did manage to draw themselves level when Francky Sembolo tapped into an empty net. Parity wasn’t to last, however, as Florian Heller side-footed in at the far post to seal the three points for the guests, leaving Regensburg nine points adrift of the relegation play-off place.
