Hamburg - A late header from goalkeeper Philipp Tschauner salvaged FC St. Pauli a 2-2 draw at home to SC Paderborn 07 and gave them a survival boost near the foot of Bundesliga 2.

After a first 45 minutes dominated by the visitors, St. Pauli took the lead midway through the second half with Marius Ebbers on target. The joy was short lived, though, with Deniz Yilmaz levelling within three minutes for the East Westphalians. Paderborn then took the lead through Mahir Saglik, but it was not enough to take all three points as goalkeeper Tschauner raced up field in the dying seconds to head an equaliser and earn a crucial point for Pauli, who edge nine points away from danger.
