Bochum - Eintracht Braunschweig left it late to continue their march towards the Bundesliga as Dominick Kumbela’s late header rescued a 1-0 win at VfL Bochum 1848.

Chances were few and far between as struggling Bochum stood up to the challenge of the Bundesliga 2 high-flyers, going close to opening the scoring when Marc Rzatkowski struck the top of the crossbar (19'). Braunschweig struggled somewhat to get their usual game going with Bochum growing in belief as the game wore on. With just two points separating them from the bottom three, they knew how important it was to avoid defeat, but just one lapse in concentration proved costly as Kumbela nodded in the winner in the 85th minute.
