Munich - Eintracht Braunschweig moved back to the top of Bundesliga 2 with their sixth win in seven games with a comfortable victory over MSV Duisburg, while Hertha BSC Berlin and TSV 1860 Munich continued their respective marches up the table with wins over Ingolstadt and Dynamo Dresden respectively. Meanwhile, the capital's other club, 1.FC Union Berlin, were held to a draw by Erzgebirge Aue.

Eintracht Braunschweig 3-0 MSV Duisburg

The hosts made it four victories from their four home fixtures this season after beating Duisburg, though the scoreline does little justice to their overall dominance. While the guests were able to compete for the first quarter of an hour, Braunschweig soon wrestled control, although the closest they came to scoring was a Dennis Kruppke free-kick which flew narrowly wide. It was a similar story after the break, but Braunschweig eventually found a way through late on, with goals from Marc Pfitzner, Pierre Merkel and Kruppke ensuring their return to the league summit.

FC Ingolstadt 0-2 1860 Munich

The visitors remain as one of only four teams in Bundesliga 2 yet to taste defeat this season, after a hard-fought but deserved win away to Ingolstadt. They were made to work for the points against a deep lying home side, but their swift attacking display brought dividends just after the half hour mark, when Mortiz Stoppelkamp turned Daniel Halfar's superb left-wing cross into the bottom corner with a clever flick. The hosts rarely showed any desire to take the game to the Lions, who netted a long-overdue second goal in the closing stages, when Guillermo Vallori coolly finished from Kai Bülow's free-kick.

Erzgebirge Aue 1-1 1 FC Union Berlin

Aue came from behind to salvage a point against Union Berlin in this bottom-of-the table clash. Simon Terodde headed Aue in front in the seventh minute, meeting Torsten Mattuschka's free-kick from close range. Union responded well, but as they were searching for an equaliser, they almost conceded a second when Terodde's shot struck the post. That proved to be only a rare attack, though, as Aue ended the first half in a crescendo, albeit without getting an equaliser their game deserved. Aue nearly levelled in the 69th minute when Daniel Haas saved right on the goal line from Thomas Paulus' shot, but they got the equaliser they were looking for in the 83rd minute when Mike Könnecke's cross was turned into his own goal by Fabian Schönheim. It was a crucial goal which earned Aue their fifth point of the season to keep them on terms with Union in the table.

Line-ups and statistics

Hertha BSC Berlin 1-0 Dynamo Dresden

Just one goal was enough to lift Hertha BSC Berlin to fourth in the Bundesliga 2 table. Berlin went close to opening the scoring in the second minute when Sandro Wagner's header was saved by Florian Fromlowitz and it was just a warning for Dresden with Ronny's curling free-kick diverted into his own goal by Romain Bregerie only minutes later. Fromlowitz had to make two quick-fire saves to deny Wagner and Anis Ben-Hatira in the 27th minute as a buoyant home side looked for a second, which they could not find before the interval. They could not find one after the break either, meaning they had to suffer a bit more than they would have liked in the second 45 minutes. However, Dresden were unable to carve out any chances and it was Ben-Hatira who missed the best chance in the 78th minute when he was denied by Fromlowitz again.
