Munich - 1. FC Köln's wait for a first league win this season goes on as they were beaten at 1. FC Union Berlin, while FSV Frankfurt overcame FC St. Pauli and VfR Aalen defeated FC Erzgebirge Aue. Friday's Bundesliga 2 action in overview...

1. FC Union Berlin 1. FC Köln

Köln started the game brightly and were in front inside three minutes as Thomas Bröker rolled home a penalty after Björn Jopek had fouled Miso Brecko. Union came back into the contest, levelling when Brecko's misplaced defenisve header allowed Silvio to tap in. Buoyed by their vociferous supporters, Union then crowned a good spell of pressure by taking the lead when, straight from a goal kick, Torsten Mattuschka found space in the box to place a accurate shot into the corner. Köln have now taken just two points from their six league games.

FSV Frankfurt FC St. Pauli

FSV Frankfurt were in confident mood going into this game and took only seven minutes to find the net as Odise Roshi's effort beat Patric Klandt. The away side came storming back , however, and after missing a host of chances, deservedly drew level when Daniel Ginczek slotted into an empty net. Parity wasn't restored for long, however, as Edmond Kapplani continued his good form by nodding FSV back into the lead. Despite a barrage of set-pieces and long balls, Pauli were unable to break the hosts' defence down. Frankfurt, meanwhile, move up to second in the table.

VfR Aalen FC Erzgebirge Aue

After an even start the home side struck the first blow in spectacular fashion as Martin Dausch finished off a strong run by curling a superb strike in off the post. Aue had chances of their own, notably through Jakub Silvestr and Ronald Gercaliu, but home keeper Jasmin Fekzic was alert to the danger. Having weathered the pressure, Aalen then added an equally impressive second as Robert Lechleiter crashed in a shot from a tight angle. The visitors attempted a fightback but their cause wasn't helped when Rene Klingbeil was sent off for a dangerous challenge on Dausch and Aalen saw out a comfortable win.
