Kaiserslautern - 1. FC Kaiserslautern have agreed a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt to take striker Olivier Occean on loan for the next two seasons.
The Canadian forward linked up with his new team mates on Monday after the two clubs agreed the deal, which also includes the option for Kaiserslautern to sign the player for an additional year.
The contract of the 31-year-old former SpVgg Greuther Fürth forward is valid both in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 and he brings with him a wealth of experience, particularly in the second tier of German football.
Occean spear-headed Greuther Fürth’s promotion to the top flight in 2012 when he netted 17 times in 33 games. Although unable to make a name for himself in the Bundesliga last year, he still made 18 appearances for the Eagles, scoring once.
He has been capped by Canada 28 times, scoring six goals.
